This project will contribute to establish a sound theoretical basis to define a semantics for object-oriented databases, to identify adequate spatial ontologies, specifying them using an ob ject-oriented approach, to create an ob ject-oriented development method to model spatial ontologies, and propose mechanisms that must exist in a database to support the object-oriented programming paradigm.
