Member summary

InformationJoão Moura Pires is (since July 2000) Auxiliary Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon.
He got a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering in 1984 by the University of Angola (and its equivalence by University of Porto). In 1991 got an M.Sc. equivalent by the New University of Lisbon. In 2000 he got a Ph.D. in Computer Science, by the the New University of Lisbon.

His main research interest lies in the following topics: Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Mining and Constraint Programming. He supervised a number of post-graduate students, and organized or collaborated in the organisation of several Scientific events.
